Japanese Mayonnaise Recipe – Homemade Organic & MSG Free

Have you ever tried the Japanese Mayonnaise brand Kewpie? If you are like me, you may prefer this style of mayonnaise to the US mayonnaise taste. It has a much creamier taste.
The Kewpie brand mayonnaise is very popular in Japan and can be purchased at pretty much any Japanese supermarket or convenience store. And Japanese love mayonnaise on their food…even pizza!
Since it’s difficult to get Japanese Style Mayonnaise in the US, I have come up with my own recipe for something that tastes very similar. And it’s organic if you use organic ingredients, and also free from MSG! I hope you enjoy!

Organic Japanese Mayonnaise
My recipe for homemade Japanese Organic Mayonnaise. You can easily make this at home with very few ingredients you probably already have. Perfect for use on a variety of dishes as dipping sauce or to add flavor.
Equipment
- Mixing Bowl (Small)
- Measuring Spoons
Ingredients
- 100 g Mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Dashi Powder
Instructions
- Measure and prepare all ingredients
- Mix all ingredients until blended and smooth.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature as a dipping sauce or topping to improve flavor of your dish!
Notes
For this recipe, I recommend the Kayanoya brand for the Dashi powder. You can buy it here: Kayanoya no Dashi powder.
