Yes, sometimes I do make American dishes. 😉

My kids love spaghetti or pretty much anything with noodles. Ramen, Udon, Spaghetti, Yakisoba, Soba, Tamago Udon, you name it. I think every kid in the world loves dishes with noodles, probably why they are such a common dish across many country cuisines.

But I love that my son loves Spaghetti al nero di seppia, as it’s one of my favorites. It’s squid ink pasta, which is a black color and turns your tongue and lips black while eating it. My son loves that part. 😉

        <ins class="adsbygoogle"
             style="display:block"
             data-ad-client="ca-pub-0687518824241360"
             data-ad-slot="9224038072"
             data-ad-format="auto"
             data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

And also my husband and I are very particular about pasta being cooked al dente. It seems most places we have tried in the US always overcook the pasta. So we have somewhat given up on dining out for pasta as the places we like are so far from us, it just isn’t worth it. However, we were lucky to find one pasta place in Little Tokyo, across the street from the Angel’s Brewery. It’s called Pasta e Pasta. Run by Japanese, but fantastic pasta AND it’s al dente. It’s the only pasta we eat out these days. Enjoy that tip!

Have a favorite pasta place, please share below in the comments! We would love to add it to our list. Perhaps we can get a rotation going.
