]]> About a week prior to making this dish, my husband and I went to this trendy restaurant in Pasadena for brunch. My husband was really looking forward to enjoying some Bloody Mary’s and Eggs Benedict, unfortunately it was not nearly as good as expected. And for the price, it was a bit shocking. Anyway, as he thinks I’m the best cook in the world, he of course asks me, why waste time being disappointed, I’m sure you could make this better than any restaurant here in LA.

Up to the challenge, I was craving this as well, so I thought, why not give it a try. It definitely takes some effort, especially making the hollandaise sauce, which I think was what the shop really failed on, and it ruined the entire dish. So this is another first attempt, but now that I have made it, my husband said it’s the best eggs Benedict he’s ever had, so he refuses to eat this anywhere but from my kitchen. πŸ˜‰

]]> My review of Ron Herman Cafe and their amazing roast chicken Mexican cobb salad. This time, I visited their branch in Futako Tamagawa, Tokyo for brunch. They have multiple locations throughout Japan, such as in Roppongi, Sendagaya, Tsujido, Kyoto, Kobe and Fukuoka.

Futako Tamagawa is one of the cities that has dramatically changed over the years, and it now quite a sophisticated city that people enjoy visiting. As the area has grown, the Ron Herman brand decided to open one of their cafe locations, to match the style and people now visiting the area.

Since I wanted to have something that is not only healthy but also tasty, I decided to try their Roast Chicken Mexican Cobb Salad. As you can see in the picture, all the colors of the dish made me excited to eat it, and as I expected it was very delicious and also filled my stomach quite well.

I always love food that’s delicious for both eyes and mouth, because I believe food is an enjoyable thing both visually and tastefully.

I would like to go back and try their pancakes, while sitting on the outdoor wooden deck, while enjoying conversation with my friends over brunch.

]]> I was inspired by this Avocado toast I had at a cafe in Pasadena a few days prior to making this. This was my first attempt to make Avocado toast. I was craving Avocado and Salmon and thought to make it. I’m quite happy with how it turned out!

This time, I put avocado, smoked salmon, goat cheese, jalapenos, and cherry tomatoes on a slice of whole wheat bread. I would love to hear your ideas of what you put on your avocado toast.
