I’ve been making a lot of Shabu Shabu style dishes recently. Mostly because I went to my local Japanese supermarket and stocked up on a lot of Shabu Shabu meat (as I can’t find butchers or American grocery stores that know how to slice meat this thin). I guess using this kind of meat is not common for most American dishes, but you simply can’t make Shabu Shabu without thinly sliced meat.
Pork is healthy for you, because it has the nutritional value that heals your tiredness, so I love the combination of this with so many green vegetables. This is well kept secret of the Okinawan people. You know they live for a very long time right? 😉 They love pork.
